Home project: Make a pizza!      15 pts.

Use a piece of bread, a pizza crust, a bagel or English muffin, decorate it with toppings.  Write the recipe and the fractional parts of the pizza that are each topping combination on an index card.  You can take pictures or bring it in for your mid-morning snack, then Show-n-Tell your pizza project!

Home Measuring: Complete page 124 in the purple book.   15 pts.

Measure 10 items around your house to the nearest ½ inch or ¼ inch.

Michigan Map (Distance Measurement)    10 pts.

Toy Project:  Bring in a set of 10 toys.  Write 5 fractions based on  15 pts.

the toys you have.  If the fraction has an equivalent, be ready to

identify it’s equivalent fraction.  Sample: 5/10 is the same as 1/2).

A Layer:         20 pts.

Find a recipe and copy it on the recipe card.  Which measuring

tools will you need to make your recipe?  Is it ok to use drinking

cups as measuring cups when you make your recipe? Why or Why not?
