In this unit, you will work in class and at home on a variety of assignments of your own choosing. The entire project must be finished by January 19 or 20 (depending upon your class schedule). You will not be allowed work on the project on that day and I will only sign off on one activity. Plan your time accordingly. Do not lose this sheet. If you do, you will have to reconstruct all the activities and signatures. Your potential grades for this unit are listed below, along with a space for a parent to sign. This signature will earn you 5 points at the “C” level.

La primera parte. “C” level. Choose any of the following activities to earn points. You must do the activities preceded by ˜. The most you may earn in this category is 75 points. This is the number of points you need to earn a “C.” You may not go on to a “B” level activity unless you have accumulated 75 points here first. If you do not succeed the first time you are assessed on an assignment, you may re-do the activity and try again the following day. However, every time you submit your work for re-assessment the number of possible points drops by 2.

La segunda parte. “B” level. Choose either of the following activities to earn points. The most you may earn in this category is 10 points. This maximum, combined with the 75 points you have accumulated in the first part of the project will give you an 85 for a project grade of “B.”  You may not go on to the “A” level activity unless you have been assessed on a “B” level activity first.

La tercera parte. “A” level.  Choose either of the activities to earn points. Your essay is to be written in English and conform to the guidelines outlined on the worksheet for that project. You must also complete the bibliography sheets to indicate your research. The maximum of 15 points you can earn for this activity added to the rest of your points will bring your final grade for the project to the “A” level.

Grades:

Below 64 = F

65-70 = D

71-80 = C

81-90 = B

91-100 = A
