  1. Make flash cards using the vocabulary terms on the board.  Learn them.  20 pts.
  2. Read the Civics text chapter titled The Executive Branch.  Be able to answer #1-10 pg.215. 10 pts.
  3. Write a song or poem that explains the roles of  the President.  Include all roles in the song or poem.  Perform it for me or 3 classmates.  15 pts.
  4. Watch the video in its entirety “Your Executive Branch and You”.   Write 5-7 things you learned from it.  10 pts.
  5. Read the packet titled “The Presidency” and complete the review.  Be prepared to answer the questions on the review.  10 pts.
  6. On poster board, make a full color poster illustrating the roles of the President.  15 pts.
  7. On poster board, make a full color poster illustrating the basic job of each of the 15 executive departments and why each was created.  15 pts.
  8. Write a help-wanted advertisement for the job of President.  10 pts.
  9. Read a newspaper/magazine article on one issue involving the executive branch, summarize the important points.  Be prepared to discuss it with me.  10 pts.
  10. Design and illustrate a children’s book on the roles of the President.  15 pts.
  11. Read the packet titled “The Presidency in Action” and complete the review.  Be prepared to answer the questions on the review.  10 pts.
  12. Do the worksheet packet—Roles of the President and Exploring the Constitution. 5 pts. per sheet.
  13. Construct a board game teaching about the executive branch.  The game must teach all parts.  Have 2 classmates play the game.  20 pts.
  14. Read the chapter in Civics and take the publisher made test.  10 pts.
  15. Make a mobile of the powers of the Presidency.  15 pts.
  16. Read an  article or articles for 30 minutes on one of the following Core Democratic Values:   rule of law, truth, checks & balances, separation of powers, or civilian control of the military.  You must tell me before you begin what topic you are reading on.  After reading, you will discuss your miscellaneous reading with me.  10 pts.
