1.  Think of a food you are able to prepare.  List the steps it takes to make it. (exp.  Mac& cheese, pancakes, sandwich, etc.)

2.  Choose 2 “Focus” stories to read and complete questions on your own paper in complete sentences.

3.  Complete one of the word sorts and document answers.

4.  Make a cartoon depicting the events of a typical day in school.

5.  Read a newspaper article and do a sequence of events graphic organizer based on what happened.

6.  Go to infoplease.com Go to timelines.  Choose a subject and make a flip chart, poster, or drawing depicting major events with times.

7.  Find directions on how to make something.  Use index cards to make a game by writing the directions on the cards and have at least 2 students put them in the correct order.
