1.       Interview a n oilfield employee. Based on your inquiry compare on contrast the effects the oil boom in Texas has on the economy and the environment.

 

2.       Develop a multi-media presentation about: the effects of Hurricane Rita, and provide a summary, brief history and what impact this had on the ecosystem along the gulf coast.  

 

A Layer:  Choose one.  Maximum 20 points in this section.

1.            You are a land owner in Comal County, make a poster to describe the following: Do the new laws governing the Guadalupe and Comal rivers help/ hurt the ecosystem along the river?  Clearly identify your stance.

2.            Write a letter to the Texas State Governor stating why or why not Texas should allow fracking along the Eagle Ford Shale. Clearly identify your stance.
