Day 2:

1. Follow along as we read chapters 3-5. (5 points)

2. Use the vocabulary words on List 2 to choose 15 words to make a bingo card (using the bingo grid from your teacher). We will be playing bingo with the definitions. (5 points)

3. Choose one of the following activities. (10 points)

_____Make a model of Racer Ralph (you may use the patterns provided).

_____Make a time line using the information about motorcycle inventors.

Day 3:

1. Follow along as we read chapters 6-8. (5 points)

2. Choose one of the following vocabulary activities using words on List 3:

_____Be ready to play the Grab Bag game. (Grab 5 words from the bag and use each of them in a sentence.)

_____Make a Picture Dictionary using at least 10 words.

3. Make a crash helmet for a mouse using the materials from your teacher. Decorate it anyway you like. (5 points).

Day 4:

1. Follow along as we read chapters 9-11. (5 points)

2. Choose one of the following vocabulary activities using words on List 4:

_____Choose 10 words and find a word that means the opposite.

_____Make a crossword puzzle using at least 10 of the words. Have a friend work the puzzle.

3. Choose one of the following activities: (10 points)

_____Design a school menu. Make it look like a menu from a restaurant.

_____Complete the Before and After story activity about mice.

_____Write a poem about Ralph and Keith. It should be at least 5 lines and draw a picture about it.



Day 5:

1. Follow along as we read chapters 12-13. (5 points)

2. Choose one of the following vocabulary activities using words on List 5:

(10 points)

_____Be ready to "act out" any 5 words.

_____Make flash cards for any 10 of the words.

3. Choose one of the following activities: (10 points)

_____Write a letter to a character in the book. Tell how your life is like his or hers. Offer opinions on the character's actions.

_____Pretend you are a character in the book and you are a guest on a talk show. Be ready to be interviewed!

_____Make a mystery box of 5 objects about the story and be ready to explain each.

Choose one of the following activities: (10 points)

_____Design the Ultimate Motorcycle. Use the Parts Index to help you.

_____Design at least 6 accessories you think Ralph might enjoy having when he rides the motorcycle.

Layer A

Choose one of the following activities: (10 points)

_____Use the Motorcycle Handbook to answer the 10 given questions, then write a letter to Ralph explaining some safety and driving tips.

_____Plan an ultimate vacation. Plot your trip on a U.S. map, describe 3 places you will visit, and tell about the important features of each.

a B you must have between 111 and 120 points.

a C you must have between 100 and 110 points.
