      answer 5 questions.

Culture and Society

(8) _____ 9. Read the handout “Japan’s schools” and be prepared to answer 4 teacher questions.

(10)_____ 11. Read the handout “The Japanese” and answer 5 teacher questions. 

Miscellaneous:

(10)____  13. Read the World Cultures textbook pp. 401-408 pertaining to this region’s history and answer 5

(10)____  15. Watch the video Lonely Planet – Japan, take notes, and be prepared to answer 4 teacher

(10)____  17. Watch the video Samurai Sword, take notes, and be prepared to answer 4 teacher directed

(10)____  20. *Choose a theme word, then compose or find 5 haiku that express that theme. Present them all

      the hypothetical situations given. Please refer to specific rules in justifying your answers.

      of Japanese culture and are designed to elicit more than one-word responses.
