Newton's Laws of Motion Science Project
by Fred Goerisch
Las Vegas, Nevada
Objectives:
- The student will investigate Newton's first law of motion.
- The students will develop an experiment to demonstrate constant
velocity.
- The student will investigate and describe that multiple forces
acting on an object along a straight line affect the motion of an
object.
- The student will explore Newton's second law of motion.
- The student will develop an experiment to demonstrate constant
acceleration.
- The student will investigate Newton's third law of motion.
- The student will contrast velocity and acceleration.
- The student will investigate friction.
- The student will differentiate between fluid, rolling, and
sliding friction.
- The student will demonstrate the law of conservation of momentum.
- The student will explore circular motion.
- The student will explore gravity.
