Poetry Packet, Vocab Quizzes, and Unit Test will be done by all students
There are 270 points possible in this unit. Choose to do a total of:
250 for an A 200 for a B 185 for a C
I. Define words on Unit 5 Vocab list 10 pts.
II. Read the story on page 122 "Un Grunion Simpatico." 2 parts.
1. Choose either to answer the reading comprehension questions on page 124 or pass off comprehension orally with teacher (give summary of story) 15 pts.
2. Do Workbook page 58 #2 10 pts.
III. Listen and participate in Grammar Reviews & do oral exercises with the class
10 pts 10 pts. 10 pts.
Preterite Tense Grammar worksheet 50 pts.
IV. Turn in workbook packet:
1. Vocab practice. Do pg. 59 #1 pg 60 - 61 #2 & either #3 or #4. 30 pts.
2. Grammar practice. Do pg. 65 #1 & #2, pg. 67 #4 30 pts.
Expression practice. pg. 68 & 69 #5,6 & 7. 30 pts.
V. Journal entries:
1. Write about your most embarrassing moment/experience. (This will be helpful in preparing the the oral test this quarter) 10 pts.
2. Write about what you did during your favorite summer vacation. 10 pts.
3. Write about your favorite / least favorite childhood memory. 10 pts.
VI. Creative writing. Choose One 25 pts.
1. Write your own "Juan Bobo" story. Tell the story in the past tense. 125 word minimum.
2. Write a second poem with at least 6 lines. (first will be done with poetry unti)
3. Make up a dialogue using at least 10 new vocab words. You many write this activity with a partner. Dialogue must be at least 12 lines in length, not including Hola & Adios.
4. Participate in Vocab Review "Futbol" game with teammates before unit test. 10 pts.
