    In Computer Class, create a PowerPoint presentation explaining the relationships of the gods and goddesses.

Using the TV viewing station, watch the video on Ancient Greece.  You MUST take notes while viewing the video.  Then write a five-paragraph report summarizing this ancient civilization.  You may add facts to your report that you learned from the textbook and other sources.  All work must be in your own words; double-spaced; 12 point font; 1 inch margins.

  1. With a classmate, take the role of a Spartan and an Athenian.  Debate the superiority of your society.  Be persuasive!  You must have notes on index cards.

Small Group Activity (2 or 3 students):  Research the Olympic games in ancient Greece.  Each student will write a research paper.  (All work must be in your own words; double-spaced; 12 point font; 1 inch margins.)  Think of questions in addition to those listed below, and prepare a presentation for the class (either PowerPoint or story poster board.) 
    Give your presentation by yourself or with a group. 
    a.  Why were the first Olympic games held? 
    b.  What games did spectators see? 
    c.  Could anyone compete in the games? 
    d.  Additional questions that you create!
