__1. Read section one pgs. 534 to 539 and answer the questions on page 539. (10 pts.)

__2. Read section two pgs.540 to 545 and answer the questions on page 545. (10 pts.)

__3. Read section three pgs. 548 - 556 and answer the questions on pg. 556. (10 pts.)

__4. Make a foldable of the key terms from the chapter.

(Fold a page in your notebook toward the spiral and cut the paper towards the fold. Write the key term on the top and open the fold to write the definition on the inside.) (5 pts.)

__5. Observe transparency 33 and answer the questions on the handout in your notebook. (5 pts.)

__6. Observe transparency 34 and write a paragraph explaining the events that occurred. (10 pts.)

LEVEL B: CHOOSE ONLY ONE (20 POINTS)

__1. Observe the poster of the butterflies and the field guide of butterflies. Identify two types of butterflies and create a Venn diagram showing the similarities and differences. Identify 3 adaptations and explain their advantages on the back of your Venn diagram. (20 pts.)

__2. Read the section "A Closer Look" on pages 542 - 543. Write a paragraph on how natural selection favored co evolution in hummingbirds and the hibiscus flower. (20 pts.)

LEVEL A ( 30 pts.)

- Create a power point presentation or booklet on Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection. The presentation must have at least 5 slides or pages. (A title slide and 4 slides identifying and explaining his 4 most important ideas.) On the last slide or page of your book , explain whether you agree or disagree with Darwin's theory. Justify your answer.
