This assignment should be completed on time and will familiarize you with the way this class will be conducted this year. You will have a choice as to which project you will work on. You may only turn in two projects a day and you will be graded orally by me. I will visit with each student and go over each project individually the day after they are due.

Day One: Listen to the Lecture/take notes for 5 points

Do two of the following projects:

1. Take 6 digital photos
2. Scan 6 photos
3. Create 12 blank PowerPoint slides and change the background to a different color on each slide.

   Save your work in your network folder and print out a copy for grading for 15 points

   Day Two: Listen to the Lecture/take notes for 5 points

   Do two of the following projects:

1. Locate 6 Animated pieces of Clip art and place them on independent PowerPoint slides
2. Create 12 PowerPoint slides with an Animation on each one
3. Choose an assignment from the previous day that you did not do.

   Save your work in your network folder and print out a copy for grading for 15 points

   Day Three: Listen to the Lecture/take notes for 5 points

   Do one of the following projects:

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation that contains 12 slides, each slide should have text inserted on it and the text should be animated.
2. Create an Autobiographical Power point presentation that answers the following questions;

   Where you were born, Who your parents are, What you liked to do as a child, Where you went to elementary school, Where you went to school from 6^th thru 8^th grade, What your hobbies are, What activities you participate in for WHS, Who your role model is, What types of music to you listen to, What your favorite subject is, What college you plan to attend?

   Save your work in your network folder and print out a copy for grading for 20 points

   Day Four: Listen to the Lecture/take notes for 5 points

   Do one of the following projects:

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation from scratch that has at least 8 slides, 4 pieces of clip art, animations and transitions. This presentation should attempt to persuade the class to want to take a course at this high school.
2. Create a PowerPoint presentation from scratch that has at least 8 slides, 4 pieces of clip art, animations and transitions. This presentation should be about how to prepare a meal for four people.
3. Create a PowerPoint presentation from scratch that has at least 8 slides, 4 pieces of clip art, animations and transitions. This presentation needs to be a promotional advertisement for a vacation resort of your choice.

   Day Five: Listen to the Lecture/take notes for 5 points

   Do one of the following projects:

1. Write a 3 paragraph Opinion paper on what makes a good PowerPoint presentation and be prepared to defend your paper orally.
2. Write a 3 paragraph Persuasive paper defending or opposing the use of Technology in the classroom and be prepared to debate your paper orally.
