WHO is eligible for the course?

Layered Curriculum™ Trainers are Layered Curriculum Teachers! If you have "been there, done that" you may want to consider training other teachers in using Layered Curriculum. Here are the requirements for attending a weekend trainer's session.

REQUIREMENTS

• You have attended a full one or two day workshop (minimum 5 hours) on Layered Curriculum with Dr. Kathie F Nunley.*
  
  
• You have designed and implemented at least 6 Layered Curriculum units in your classroom**

**Administrators welcome if they have attended a workshop and have actually worked with a classroom teacher designing units and implementing Layered Curriculum so that they have a good feel for the logistics of running this type of classroom. All trainers MUST have personal experience with Layered Curriculum.

WHERE will the training occur? (APPLICATION)

Our next training weekend is scheduled for August 5 - 7, 2005 in Olean, NY. (60 miles south of Buffalo in the Allegheny Mountains)

HOW LONG is the trainer's course?

The weekend class will begin on a Friday afternoon, continues all day Saturday and concludes midday on Sunday.

WHAT does the certification get me?

After successful completion of the course you will receive:

• A license to present and use the trademark Layered Curriculum™ workshops, training and support.
• Black-line masters for overheads and handouts
• A trainer's book containing suggestions for running workshops and providing follow-up support.
• Business cards with your name identifying you as a licensed trainer.
• Trainer's support and workshop leads through a trainer's webpage
• A certificate of completion..
• The opportunity to receive pay for training and book sales, if you wish.
• An bio/photo on the Help4Teachers.com website enabling schools to contact you for training.

How do I maintain my license?

You maintain certification by continuiing to use and train others on using Layered Curriculum™. Verification comes through a bi-annual update from you as well as workshop material purchases through help4teachers.com
