Layered Curriculum Trainer, Steve Ritter

Steve Ritter is the principal at Lakeland Jr. & Sr. High School in Deepwater, MO. Prior to his current position, he was the assistant principal at Clinton High School in Clinton, MO. Steve taught high school social studies for six years before entering into administration, using Layered Curriculum® for the final 3 years. He has earned a BSE in Secondary Education/Social Studies, MSE in Curriculum and Instruction, and EdS in Secondary School Administration from the University of Central Missouri. Steve is currently pursuing his EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Missouri.

Steve has been sharing his experiences with Layered Curriculum® for over a year at conferences, area schools, and Missouri's Regional Professional Development Centers, including assisting the Central RPDC Warrensburg with an academy series to provide ongoing support to teachers beginning to use Layered Curriculum in their classroom. Steve is a supporter of Layered Curriculum® as a Tier 1 intervention for all students in RtI as well as an advocate for the use of Layered Curriculum® in Class-Within a-Class settings.

Steve is available for half and full day workshops, consultations, and follow-up support.
