Marilyn Nelson Morgan

Marilyn Nelson Morgan has
been an educator for special education and discouraged learners
for the past 34 years. She has been a teacher, junior high
school principal and director of district programs.
Marilyn was instrumental
in the creation of Burnsville-Eagan- Savage Area Learning
Center programs that now support over 2000 students each year.
She has been an Interim Specialist for Alternative Education
for the Minnesota Department of Education. For the past two
years Marilyn has been a Minnesota Regional Coordinator of
Adequate Yearly Progress/School Improvement. Her work has
been to lead and support school improvement initiatives and
create staff development training in collaborative instruction,
special education, extended day/year programs, alternative
program development, Layered Curriculum, and most recently
Response To Intervention.
Marilyn's passion has been
in prevention and Layered Curriculum® and RTI are the
model programs that she would like to now focus in as a consultant.
